📖Sahih Muslim 2664
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don’t say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your” if” opens the (gate) for the Satan.
- This hadith from Sahih Muslim 2664 narrates several teachings of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Firstly, it emphasizes that a strong believer, both physically and spiritually, is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer. This means that being strong and healthy is a blessing from Allah and should be used to serve Him and do good deeds.
- Secondly, the hadith reminds us that there is good in everyone, and we should always look for that good and appreciate it. However, we should also be careful to focus on those things that benefit us in the Hereafter, such as performing good deeds, seeking knowledge, and seeking Allah’s pleasure.
- Thirdly, the hadith encourages us to seek help from Allah in all our affairs and to never lose hope or become despondent. Even in the face of difficulties or hardships, we should trust in Allah’s plan for us and keep our faith and trust in Him.
- Lastly, the hadith warns against blaming ourselves or others for the occurrence of an event, and instead encourages us to recognize that everything happens according to Allah’s decree. Blaming ourselves or others can lead us towards negative thoughts and the whispers of Satan. Instead, we should accept Allah’s decree and rely on Him for guidance and support
