📖Sahih Muslim 2642 a
Abu Dharr reported: It was said to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ): What is your opinion about the person who has done good deeds and the people praise him? He said: It is glad tidings for a believer (which he has received in this mortal world).
- This hadith teaches us that it is not only important to perform good deeds, but also to be acknowledged and praised for them by others. When people recognize and appreciate our good deeds, it can serve as a motivation to continue doing good and to strive to improve ourselves further. Moreover, being praised for our good deeds is a sign that our actions have been recognized and appreciated by others, which can give us a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. At the same time, it is important to remember that we should not perform good deeds simply for the sake of receiving praise or recognition from others. Rather, we should do so out of our love and devotion to Allah and with the intention of seeking His pleasure. Nonetheless, being acknowledged and praised for our good deeds by others can be a positive reinforcement and an encouragement to continue doing good in the future.
