đź“–Sahih al-Bukhari 3244
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Allah said, “I have prepared for My Pious Servents things which have never been seen by an eye, or heard by an ear, or imagined by a human being.” If you wish, you can recite this Verse from the Holy Qur’an:–“No soul knows what is kept hidden for them, of joy as a reward for what they used to do.” (32.17)
- This hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari narrated by Abu Huraira describes a saying of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that Allah has prepared unimaginable rewards for His righteous servants that are beyond the human comprehension. The hadith quotes Allah as saying that He has prepared things for His pious servants that no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and no human being has ever imagined. This means that the rewards of the righteous in the hereafter are beyond anything that we can conceive of in this life. The hadith then refers to a Quranic verse from Surah As-Sajdah (32:17) that emphasizes the idea that no soul knows what is kept hidden for them in terms of the reward they will receive for their good deeds. This indicates that the reward for good deeds in the hereafter is beyond our knowledge and imagination. The message of this hadith and verse is to encourage people to do good deeds and to strive for righteousness, as the rewards of the righteous are far greater than anything they can attain in this world.
