Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.
- The meaning behind this Hadith is that taking care of widows and the poor is highly valued in Islam, and those who do so are rewarded by Allah as if they were engaged in acts of worship such as jihad, prayer, and fasting. This is a reminder that helping those in need is an essential part of being a Muslim and that we should strive to do so as much as we can.
