Sahih Muslim 2592 c
Jarir b. ‘Abdullah reported Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: He who is deprived of tenderly feelings is in fact deprived of good and he who is deprived of tenderly feelings is in fact deprived of good.
- This hadith is a repetition of the statement “He who is not merciful to others, Allah will not be merciful to him” which is a well-known Islamic principle emphasizing the importance of showing compassion and kindness towards all of Allah’s creation. This hadith emphasizes that having tender and merciful feelings towards others is an essential part of being a good person. The lack of such feelings is a sign of a deficiency in a person’s character and may lead to negative consequences in this life and in the Hereafter. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to cultivate and practice tenderly feelings towards others in order to receive Allah’s mercy and blessings.
