📖Sahih al-Bukhari 15
Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.”
- This hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari highlights the importance of loving Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in order to attain true faith. The Prophet (peace be upon him) emphasized that one cannot truly believe until they love him more than anyone else, including their own family and all of humanity. The reason for this is that loving the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a necessary part of faith. This love motivates believers to follow his teachings, live their lives in accordance with his example, and strive to emulate his character. Loving the Prophet (peace be upon him) is also a sign of appreciation for the tremendous sacrifice he made for the sake of Islam and for the guidance he brought to humanity. Therefore, this hadith serves as a reminder for Muslims to continuously strive to increase their love for the Prophet (peace be upon him) and to make him a central part of their lives. By doing so, they can strengthen their faith and draw closer to Allah.
