📖Sunan Abi Dawud 4800
Narrated AbuUmamah: The Prophet (ï·º) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.
This hadith mentioned in Sunan Abi Dawud 4800 is narrated by Abu Umamah and states that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has given a guarantee of a house in Paradise for three types of people:
- The first type is someone who avoids quarreling even if they are right. This means that a person should not engage in unnecessary arguments and disputes with others, even if they have a valid point. By avoiding arguments, a person can maintain peace and harmony in their relationships and society.
- The second type is someone who avoids lying, even if it is just in jest. This means that a person should always be truthful in their words and actions, and not resort to lies or deception even in a joking manner. By being truthful, a person can maintain their integrity and gain the trust of others.
- The third type is someone who strives to improve their character and conduct. This means that a person should work on developing good habits and traits, such as patience, kindness, and generosity. By improving their character, a person can become a better human being and earn a higher rank in Paradise.
The hadith highlights the importance of these three qualities in the life of a Muslim and how they can lead to success in both this world and the Hereafter. It also emphasizes the importance of maintaining good relationships with others, being truthful, and striving for self-improvement.
