Zamzam water in the Bible

📖Genesis 21:14-21
Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba, When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there, she[a] began to sob. God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.” Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a  was w ith the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer. While he wdrink. God as living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt.

📖Isaiah 35:6-8
Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. And a highway will be there;  it will be called the Way of Holiness;    it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

Cornerstone

  • The New Testament quotes Jesus as referring to a stone rejected by builders, becoming the cornerstone where the kingdom of God will be taken away and given to a people producing its fruits. We read: ?

📖Matthew 21:42-43
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.

📖Psalm 118:22-23
We also read: “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

Biblical Prophecy: The Stone and the Great Mountain

📖Daniel 2:34-35
As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Blessed is the man (Haji-pilmgrimi) whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.  Who passing through the valley of Baka Makkah make it a well zam zam; the rain also filleth the pools.

Why Some Christians Ignorantly Mocking the Islamic Black Stone ?

📖Exodus:24.4
Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said. He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

📖Exodus:20.25
If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it.

📖Genesis:28.18
Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.

Jerusalem to Baka: Makkah as New Jerusalem in Bible:

📖John 4:19-21
When Jesus Christ was asked about the place where worship must be conducted, he stated that worship will be conducted at a new place other than Jerusalem. In the New Testament, we read: The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship. Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

📖Deuteronomy 33:1-2
This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death, He said: The LORD came from 1️⃣Sinai and dawned from 2️⃣Seir upon us; he shone forth from 3️⃣ Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand.

  • This Prophecy indeed gets fulfilled every single year during the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca, Pilgrimage of Ezekiel to Mecca

Ezekiel’s Pilgrimage to Mecca as Proof of Islam in the Bible.

📖In the Book of Ezekiel Ch 40-47, He tells us about a journey had been done for him by the Lord or an Angel in his vision. from his description to this journey we can conclude the following points..

The Place and Time

📖Ezekiel 40:1-2
In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither, In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

  • The book of Ezekiel describes a journey taking place at the beginning of the year on the tenth day of the month, although the accuracy of the translation is uncertain. It is known that Jews and Muslims use lunar months, and the tenth day of the last month is Eid Al Adha during the pilgrimage to Mecca every year. According to the text, God brought Ezekiel to a very high mountain in the land of Israel that had the frame of a city to the south, which refers to Mecca due to its southern location and mountainous surroundings. Additional evidence supporting this theory is found in Ezekiel’s description of the location.

Ezekiel describes the shape of that place in Chapters 40-43:

📖Ezekiel 42:15-19
Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about, He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.  He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed, He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.

  • According to this shape, this place is foursquare in shape, The Sacred House: Al Kaaba.

📖Ezekiel 41:4
So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.

  • There is no record of any other sacred house with a similar foursquare shape in either Christianity or Judaism besides the Sacred House of Islam, Al Kaaba.

Ezekiel’s Prophecy of the Enlargement of the House

📖Ezekiel 41:7
And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.

Going around the House & Zamzam water

📖Ezekiel 47:1-5
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar, Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side, And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles, Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins, Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

  • In Ezekiel’s verses, he describes going around the House and finding water underneath it. The water is described as superabundant and coming from the right side of the house and south of the altar. This description is similar to the Water of Zamzam, which has been used in Mecca and surrounding areas for over 1400 years and is still abundant today.
Concentrate on Ezekiel’s description to the water and Prophet Muhammad’s

📖Ezekiel 47:5
It was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

  • May Allah bestow mercy on Ishmael’s mother! If she had allowed the Zamzam water to flow freely, without attempting to control it or filling her water-skin, it would have become a stream flowing on the surface of the earth. This is a saying attributed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

About the Altar

📖Ezekiel 41:22
The altar of wood was three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and he said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD.

  • According to the description, the altar mentioned is merely symbolic and not intended for animal sacrifice, as it is too small for such a purpose. This station, known as the Maqaam’e Ibrahim, is the same location described in Ezekiel 47:1. In reference to Isaiah 35:6, the stream and well of Zamzam that Allah gushed for Hagar and Ishmael in the desert is one fulfillment of this prophecy. By Allah’s will, many more fulfillments will come to pass. We are already witnessing some of them in the world today, such as Zamzam and climate change making the Arabian desert greener.

📖Isaiah 60: 6-7
Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD, All the {flocks of Kedar} shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, {and I will glorify the house of my glory}.

Kedar: Son of Ishmael and Settled in Saudi Arabia Among the 12 Sons

📖Genesis 25: 12-16
Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham,  {And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael}, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and {Kedar,} and Adbeel, and Mibsam, And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah,  These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

Few points to notice here

📖Isaiah 35:8
The “Way of Holiness” that Arabia will have in it is without a doubt referring to the Muslims’ yearly pilgrimage to Mecca, today.

  • This is further confirmed in the Glorious Quran:?

📖Quran 22:26-27
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], “Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate. And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass

Pilgrims and Pilgrimage

📖Ezekiel 44:15-17-21
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD, They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge. And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat, And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments, Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.

  • The meaning of these verses is clear and needs no interpretation. Ezekiel refers to the pilgrims as “Priests of Levites,” which happens when the people of Israel stray from God, implying that the pilgrims are not from Israel. He describes their clothing, which matches exactly the clothing worn by Muslim pilgrims. He also mentions how the pilgrims will change into different garments before entering the holy chambers, which is known as Al’Ihlaal.

Ezekiel’s Mecca Pilgrimage Evidence and Insights:

📖Ezekiel 42:13-14
Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

  • In these verses, Ezekiel refers to the sacrifice made during Al Hajj, which includes a meat offering and a sin offering. Additionally, he talks about Al Ihram, which marks the beginning of the Hajj, during which pilgrims lay aside the garments in which they serve and put on other garments. These are the same garments described by Ezekiel in 44:17-19

God’s Command to Ezekiel to Preserve Mecca’s Sacred Place and Measures:

📖Ezekiel 44:5-6
And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary, And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations.

  • But, Why did God ask for such thing? The answer comes from the Quran?

📖Quran 2:144
We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens: now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. Nor is Allah unmindful of what they do.

  • The matter of changing the qibla was very confusing matter for Muslims, the jews at Al Madina used that for their own advantage, yet Allah unveiled them in the Qur’an..Allah says clearly “The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord”,so that God ordered Ezekiel to preserve the place and its description to be a prove against them in their own books, even after their, corruptions,Indeed.”they think they are over reaching God, but God will over reach them.

Does the House of God Describe Solomon’s Temple:

📖1 Kings: 6:3-7
And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. And for the house he made windows of narrow lights, And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about, The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house. And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

  • Jurassic` strokes coral’s antennae?

📖1 Kings: 6:8-13
The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third. So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar. And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar, And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying, Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father, And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

  • According to the description of Solomon’s temple, it’s pretty clear that it differs from the one described by Ezekiel in Ezekiel 40-43, that refutes any tries to claim that Ezekiel described the House of God in Jerusalem. And that shows that it wasn’t a foursquare temple.

Mecca, Baka, and Paran in the Bible and Quran:

📖Psalms 84:5-6
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.  Who passing through the valley of Baka make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

📖Quran 3:96-97
The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: In it are signs manifest; (for example) the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith Allah stands not in need of any of his creatures.

📖Genesis 21:17-21
And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

  • Abraham peace be upon him sent Hagar and Ishmael to Paran. Let us look at the following Verses: ?

📖Genesis 21:19-22
Then God opened her [Hagar] eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer. While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt. At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do.

  • Hagar was an Arab. Abraham peace be upon him had Ishmael from her, who was 13 years older than Issac.  After Sarah, Abraham’s wife gave birth to Issac, Abraham decided to let Hagar and her son Ishmael go.  He sent to the desert of Arabia in the region of Paran. Then GOD Almighty promised Ishmael that from him, He will increase his numbers and make from him a great nation, the Arab nation. ?

📖Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

The Bible clearly says that Paran is south of Sinai in Egypt.

📖Deuteronomy 33:2
He said: ‘The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.

Kedar came from Ishmael

📖Genesis 25:13 -16
These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:  These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

  • Kedar and Ancient Arabs The Arabian desert region was named after Kedar.

Footnote:

Topic Answer
Ishmaelites The Ishmaelites were Arabs from the Arabian desert, not Egyptians. Genesis 37:25 mentions that they were on their way to take their goods to Egypt.
Location of Abraham’s altar Genesis 13:18 mentions that Abram built an altar for the Lord. Muslims believe that the site of this altar is the Kaaba in Mecca, as the Quran says “Fiha mukkama Ibrahim” which means “In it are the signs of Abraham.” The Kaaba also houses the preserved footstep of Abraham and the well of Zam Zam, which is mentioned in Genesis 21:19 as the well that Hagar saw. Psalm 84:4-6 also mentions pilgrims passing through the valley of Baca (another name for Mecca) and making it a well.
Evidence Muslims believe that the evidence of the Kaaba being the site of Abraham’s altar is found in the preserved footstep, the well of Zam Zam, and the shape of the Kaaba resembling ancient architecture. If you disagree with this claim then provide an alternative site or location with evidence.

Jesus and the Jews Mount wall in Jerusalem

Jesus never said he would destroy a temple in three days; that is a fraudulent lie. Many stories in the Bible about Jews with Jesus are false and contain false accusations. Unfortunately, Christians have accepted them as true. See Mark 14:55-58 for more information

The True Religion

📖Quran 3:19
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.

Is Praying Towards a Specific Direction Idolatry?

Some people accuse Muslims of idolatry for praying towards Mecca, but they often ignore the fact that Daniel, a respected figure in both Christianity and Judaism, prayed facing Jerusalem. If praying towards a specific direction is considered idolatry, then was there an idol buried in the Western Wall that caused Daniel to supplicate to it?

Here some more verses from the Bible praying towards a direction:

📖2 Kings 20:2
Hezekiah turned HIS FACE TO THE WALL and prayed to the LORD.

📖Jonah 2:4
I said to my Lord you have driven me from your presence. Yet I will look once more towards your holy Temple.

📖Psalm 5:7
But as for me (David) I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I WORSHIP TOWARD THY HOLY TEMPLE.

📖2 Chronicles 6:38
And if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, AND PRAY TOWARD THE LAND YOU GAVE THEIR ANCESTORS, TOWARD THE CITY YOU HAVE CHOSEN AND TOWARD THE TEMPLE I have built for your Name.

  • Were all of them? idolaters for facing a particular direction during prayer times? Now, let’s turn our attention to a man whose name was mentioned in the heading of this post: the man called Daniel 👇

📖Daniel 6:10
Now when DANIEL knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; AND HIS WINDOWS BEING OPEN IN HIS CHAMBER TOWARD JERUSALEM, he kneeled upon his knees THREE TIMES A DAY, AND PRAYED, AND GAVE THANKS BEFORE HIS GOD, as he did aforetime.

📖1 Kings 8:44
When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to the LORD toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name.

  • 1 Kings 8 talks about facing the holy house or city during prayer. However, some deny this evidence. The Bible instructs people to face the holy house or city instead of allowing them to pray however they want. Jesus said that the time is coming when people will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. This is why Muslims face Mecca during prayer instead of Jerusalem. 👇

📖Matthew 21:43
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God SHALL BE TAKEN FROM YOU (Jews), and given TO A NATION bringing forth the fruits thereof.

  • Did you hear that? Jesus Christ told the Jews who claimed ownership of the house and direction of worship that the kingdom of God would be taken away from them and given to another nation!.

God’s Promise to Make a Great Nation Out of Ishmael.

📖Isaiah :42:11
Sing a new song kedar Rejoice people in the wilderness.

📖It was foretold on deutronomy  33:2! The Lord came from Mount Sinai (Arabs Land) (Sinai is Hagar !) and dawned forth from Mount paran(Makkah where Ishmael’s grew up with God. See Genesis :-21:20-21.

Jerusalem in Bible

Verse Description
Jeremiah 13:27 According to Yahweh, Jerusalem is cursed and will never be holy again.
Jeremiah 19:7-15 Yahweh declares that Jerusalem and its people are disobedient and rebellious.
Ezekiel 2:1-3 Yahweh describes the people of Jerusalem as adulterous and wicked.
Matthew 12:39 Jesus refers to the people of Jerusalem as a sinful generation and states that God has left Jerusalem.
Matthew 23:37-39 Jesus laments the disobedience and sinfulness of Jerusalem’s people and compares them unfavorably to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Matthew 11:21-24 Jesus reproaches the cities where most of his miracles were done, including Jerusalem, for their unbelief and sinfulness.
Isaiah 1:10 God compares the people of Jerusalem to the wickedness of Sodom.
Psalm 78 The nation of Jerusalem is characterized by vibrant wickedness.
Matthew 3:7 John refers to the people of Jerusalem as a brood of vipers

Summary:

I am using a Bible here, not the Qur’an. The Bible speaks evil about them, but you insult the Qur’an. Christians are struggling to understand the holy temple issues because you have stolen the Jewish Bible, and you don’t follow what is in it. You insult Muslims for things that are already in your Bible. You have a holy stone in your Bible, not only a stone, but also holy water and holy clothes that transmit holiness to priests. You even have a replica bronze snake attached to a pole that could heal anyone who was bitten by a poisonous snake and sinned by looking at it. Moses made it and attached it to the pole (Numbers 21:8-9). I am waiting for Christians to tell me if that was not idolatry

Distortion and Relics of Divine Revelation in the Bible

Topic Information
Distortion of Divine Revelation The Bible contains relics of the truth sent down by God, but some parts are not from God and have been distorted. The clear references to Makkah in the Holy Scriptures contained in the Bible have been altered, as well as other important dogmatic issues.
Distorted References to God In the Bible, God is described as needing rest and feeling regret like human beings so that a son can be ascribed to Him. “Begotten” is also interpolated and given as a description of Jesus to distinguish him from other sons of God in the Bible, leading people to believe in his divinity.
Distorted References to Prophets Prophets and messengers of God in the Bible are purported to have drunk alcohol, committed adultery, and gotten intoxicated to pave the way for belief in the alleged salvation brought by Jesus.
Biblical Prophecies of Prophet Muhammad Most biblical prophecies of Prophet Muhammad were obliterated, and the remaining prophecies are denied and misinterpreted. The clear-cut references to Makkah are likely blotted out as well.
References to Makkah Despite distortion and corruption, the Bible still contains references, direct and indirect, to Makkah. The distorters cannot answer certain questions, and there are still relics of genuine divine revelation in the Bible.

Direct References to Makkah Baka

📖Psalm 84:6
The Bible makes reference of “Baka”, which is one of the various names of Makkah. In the Bible, we read: “As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.

  • The above variant of Makkah is similarly cited in the Qur’an. We read: 👇

📖Aal`Imran 3:96
Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Baka – blessed and guidance for the worlds.

  • The eighty fourth chapter Psalm 84 tells us about a sacred place accommodating the courts of the Lord, for which souls long even faint, at which heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God, God’s praise is sung and there is a valley called “the Valley of Baca”. The chapter also tells us that this is a dry place made into a place of springs in the vicinity of tents, at which a day is better than a thousand elsewhere. ?

Do those descriptions not resemble those ones the Qur’an quotes Abraham as giving?

📖Genesis 21:14-20
Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba, When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die. And as she sat there, she began to sob. God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there, Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.

📖Quran 14:37
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.

Summary Genesis 21:14-21
Passage Content The passage recounts how Hagar, the maidservant of Abraham’s wife Sarah, and her son Ishmael were sent away by Abraham after the birth of Isaac. Hagar wandered in the Desert of Beersheba with her son and ran out of water. God heard her cries and opened her eyes to a well of water. Ishmael grew up in the desert and his mother found a wife for him from Egypt.
Question Where is the Desert of Paran referred to in the Bible, and where is the well and the location where Ishmael grew up and begot a great nation?
Islamic View The location of the Desert of Paran referred to in the Bible is in the vicinity of the city of Makkah in modern-day Saudi Arabia. It is noteworthy that the story of Hagar and Ishmael in the Bible closely resembles the Islamic tradition reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas.

The House of God: Significance and Importance

📖Isaiah 2:2
In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.

📖Sahih al-Bukhari 4936
The time of my Advent and the Hour are like these two fingers.

  • This hadith emphasize the significance of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) arrival in relation to the Last Hour, and his mission to guide humanity towards righteousness and prepare them for the Day of Judgment.

📖Quran 3:96
Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Bakkah – blessed and a guidance for the worlds.

📖Psalm 84:10
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

📖Sahih Muslim 1394 a
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated : A prayer in my mosque is a thousand times more excellent than a prayer in any other mosque, except Masjid al-Haram (Mosque of the Ka’ba).

  • According to this hadith, performing a prayer in Masjid al-Haram is at least a thousand times more excellent than praying in any other mosque, including the Prophet’s Mosque. However, it is essential to note that the exact measure of the superiority of praying in Masjid al-Haram is known only to Allah, and the hadith aims to emphasize the sacredness of this mosque and the significance of performing prayers there.

📖Psalm 84:5-6
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage, As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.

📖Quran 22:27
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass.

Question
Do the above biblical descriptions not resemble those given by Prophet Muhammad? It is reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may God be pleased with him) that Prophet Muhammad said: “One prayer in my Mosque is better than one thousand prayers in any other mosque excepting Al-Masjid-AI-Haram (the holy mosque in Makkah).” (Al-Bukhari) In fact, all of those descriptions apply to Makkah. Supposing that the intended place is somewhere in the vicinity of Zion, where is the place in the vicinity of Zion for which souls long even faint, at which heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God, God’s praise is sung and there is a valley called “the Valley of Baca”, and which is a dry place made into a place of springs in the vicinity of tents, at which a day is better than a thousand elsewhere?

God Shining from Mount Paran

📖Deuteronomy 33:1-3
And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

  • We do not find any interpretation for such shining in the Bible, but we do find such an interpretation in the Qur’an. 👇

📖Quran 7:157
Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful.

📖Quran 5:15-16
O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from God a light and a clear Book. By which God guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.

📖Quran 42:52
And thus We have revealed to you an Spirit of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path.

Indirect References to Makkah, New Jerusalem

📖John 4:19-21
When Jesus Christ was asked about the place where worship must be conducted, he stated that worship will be conducted at a new place other than Jerusalem. In the New Testament, we read: The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

📖Isaiah 35:5-10
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; 6 then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, where they lie down, the grass shall become reeds and rushes. And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.  No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

  • This verse tells us about a well of water gushing out in the desert and a way called the ‘Way of Holiness’ over which the unclean shall not pass, and those who walk on it shall not go astray

Villages of Kedar

The Bible commands singing the praises of God at the villages inhabited by Kedar, in reference to Talbiyah, Takbir, and Tahlil in Makkah. It is noteworthy that Kedar is a son of Ishmael and a forefather of the Arabs. His offspring lived in Arabia.

Here are some verses:

📖Isaiah 42:10-11
Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

  • In spite of the claim that the sixtieth chapter of Isaiah talks about an alleged Zion, the descriptions given therein are more applicable to Makkah. It is Makkah to which nations come from afar and kings come to the brightness of its rising and all gather together  according to the following Quranic verses 👇

📖Quran 22:27-28
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], “Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate. And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass.

  • It is Makkah to which the abundance of the sea is turned and the wealth of the nations shall come according to the following Qur’anic verse👇

📖Al-Qasas 28:57
Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

  • It is Makkah which is covered by a multitude of camels and to which flocks of Kedar are gathered according to the following Qur’anic verse:👇

📖Quran 22:36
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.

  • It is Makkah whose gates are open continually, day and night, and are not shut, according to the following Qur’anic verse:👇

📖Quran 2:125
And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for all people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], “Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer].

  • It is Makkah where neither violence, devastation, and destruction shall not be heard, according to the following Qur’anic verse:👇

📖Quran 22:25
And al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people – equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing – We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
