📖Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1330
[‘Abdullah] Ibn Abi Al-Awfa narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “[Indeed] Allah is with the judge as long as he is not unjust. So when he is unjust, He leaves him and he is attended by Shaitan.”
- This hadith is a narration of a saying of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) that emphasizes the importance of justice in the role of a judge. The hadith states that Allah (God) is with the judge as long as he is just and fair in his judgments. This means that Allah supports the judge and guides him towards making the right decisions when he upholds justice. However, if a judge becomes unjust, and starts making biased and unfair decisions, Allah withdraws his support from him, and he becomes vulnerable to the influence of Satan (Shaitan). This implies that Allah does not approve of injustice and unfairness, and those who perpetrate it will be left to the influence of Satan. Thus, the hadith emphasizes the importance of justice in Islam and the responsibility of judges to uphold it in their judgments. It serves as a reminder that those in positions of authority must be fair and just, as Allah is watching over them and will hold them accountable for their actions.
