📖Sahih Muslim 2611 a
Anas reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When Allah fashioned Adam in Paradise, He left him as He liked him to leave. Then Iblis roamed round him to see what actually that was and when he found him hollow from within, he recognised that he had been created with a disposition that he would not have control over himself.
- This hadith, reported in Sahih Muslim 2611a, narrates that after Allah created Adam in Paradise, He left him in the state that He desired. Iblis, also known as Satan, then approached Adam and observed him closely. After examining him, Iblis recognized that Adam had been created with a natural disposition that made him vulnerable to external influences, and that he would struggle to control his own desires and impulses. This hadith highlights the human condition of vulnerability and the innate struggle that exists within humans to resist temptation and stay on the right path. It also emphasizes the importance of seeking Allah’s guidance and protection to overcome these challenges and stay on the straight path.
