Hadith on Paradise: The Magnificence of Paradise in Islam

📖Sahih al-Bukhari 3252, 3253
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said “There is a tree in Paradise (which is so big and huge that) a rider could travel in its shade for a hundred years. And if you wish, you can recite:–‘In shade long extended..’ (56. 30) and a place in Paradise equal to an arrow bow of one of you, is better than (the whole earth) on which the sun rises and sets.”

  • This hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari highlights the magnificence of Paradise in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) describes a tree in Paradise that is so large that a rider could travel in its shade for a hundred years, emphasizing the immense size and scale of Paradise. Additionally, the hadith suggests that a small area in Paradise, equivalent to the size of an arrow bow, is more valuable than the entire world we currently inhabit. This serves as a reminder of the incredible rewards and blessings that await believers who live a righteous and pious life in accordance with Islamic teachings.
