📖Sahih Muslim 809 a
Abu Darda’ reported Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal.
- From this hadith, we learn that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended memorizing the first ten verses of Surah al-Kahf (Chapter 18 of the Quran) as a means of protection against the Dajjal, also known as the False Messiah or Antichrist. The Dajjal is a figure in Islamic eschatology who is believed to be a great deceiver and a sign of the end times. The hadith indicates that by memorizing and reciting these verses, a person can seek Allah’s protection from the Dajjal and his deception. This highlights the significance of seeking spiritual refuge in the Quran and the power of the word of Allah as a means of safeguarding oneself from trials and tribulations.
