Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The hour will not be established till the sun rises from the West; and when it rises (from the West) and the people see it, they all will believe. And that is (the time) when no good will it do to a soul to believe then.” Then he recited the whole Verse (6.158)
- This Hadith, recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari, narrated by Abu Huraira (RA), states that the Day of Judgment will not come until a major sign occurs, that is, the sun rises from the west instead of the east. This sign will be so undeniable that everyone will believe in it, but at that point, it will be too late to repent and believe, as the time of acceptance of good deeds will have already passed. This is based on the Quranic verse 6:158, which the Prophet (PBUH) recited to emphasize this point.
