📖Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1937
Jabir narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed Ash-Shaitan has despaired of getting those who perform Salat to worship him.But he is engaged in sowing hatred among them.”
- This Hadith from Jami` at-Tirmidhi, narrated by Jabir, conveys a statement of the Prophet Muhammad about Satan (Ash-Shaitan). The Hadith states that Satan has given up hope of being worshipped by those who perform Salat (the Islamic prayer). However, he continues to engage in sowing seeds of hatred among them. The meaning of this Hadith is that Satan knows he cannot prevent people from performing their religious obligations, such as offering prayers, so he resorts to sowing discord and enmity among people. He seeks to create divisions and disputes among believers, which can lead to further sins and disobedience to God. Therefore, Muslims are encouraged to be aware of Satan’s tactics and to strive to foster love, unity, and harmony among themselves.
